First classes

Our first writing class was so new for me. The teacher is new, and the students are new too. Our writing class is Wednesday first. So, I should get up early. This is hard for me, but I'm trying.

Second grade's writing class has a lot of things to do. And our teacher, Mr. Beaufait, speaks fast. Sometimes I can't understand what he said. So, I concentrate on listening what he said. If I'm lost, to ask some friends or teacher is very important. I don't want to give up this writing class.

Hi Yuji!

You have spelled out a couple good class-time strategies:

1) Concentrating on what people say, and

2) Asking for help when you feel lost.

To your short list of people to ask for help, you might add the computer lab. assistants, because they usually attend two lessons a day. So they may already have heard what I'm telling students in your class. You also are welcome to pipe up, raise your hand immediately, and say something like, "Mr. B..., would you please say that again more slowly?"

I certainly would appreciate your sharing these strategies with your classmates and peers, and do appreciate your helping them if they feel lost.

Cheers.
